Doing Life is beautiful but also very challenging. So how do we make sure to take care of ourselves everyday so that we can deal with the challenges when they arise?

I like to do so by creating simple rituals. Here I share my morning ritual with two things I do habitually withouth even thinking too much about it.

  1. Hit Close once my iphone wake up alarm goes off

  2. Spend five minutes in bed with my eyes closed, one hand below the belly and the other at the heart breathing contiously with a three part breath excercise

Three Part Breathing Excercise

Inhaling through the nose watching my belly expand, ribs expand, chest expand

Exhale through the mouth with a sigh, watching the wave of breath, travel back though the chest, the ribs, the belly.

3. repeat the below mantra with with eyes still closed :

Gratitute Mantra

Gratitute for all my blessings

May I be happy

May I be healthy

May I be free

May all beings be happy

May all beings be healthy

May all beings be free

Om lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu
